Curious analogy in Tennyson's "Love and Death"

There's nothing that says that sinless is boring. We see it as boring here, but it doesn't follow that it has to be.

of course i think anything can be good or bad poetry. does there come a time when it teeters on preaching?

I think it's totally valid. It just needs to be good and non-preachy.

I think tennyson was a canny poet that wrote a poem that could be read either with or without the christian symbolism. A non-christian could enjoy this as well and the take away could be love outlasts death.
