The first third of NaPM is done...thank cluck.
It gets hard when there's a backlog and the only thing you can write in a short time is doggerel.

I always write in the nude.  The question is, why don't you?

just as hard when you've a backlog to read -- I mean, sure, you can read any other time after, but it still nags me a bit, being out of the 'zeitgeist', or better yet, knowing what treasures yet lie hidden

yah, I fall behind on the reading as well and I also find I am reading some quicker than I would like but I also go back to the old NaPM threads even from years ago a lot so I am not too worried

Hey gang. My sincerest apologies for not participating or commenting on everyone's wonderful work thus far. I have found myself with much less time than I had anticipated or desired. I'm still 2 days behind on my poems, but worse than that, I haven't been able to express my admiration for the offerings. I have read everyone's work and am awed and inspired, but have left little feedback. I am most encouraged by the inspired work of newcomers like bedeep and Teagan. I pray they stick around. As for Merc and Todd and Keith etc. , thanks for the kick in the ass-- consistent benchmarks, and important to me. Soaking up as much as I can with a soppy sponge. Thanks to all.

I'm wayyyyyy behind - was on semi-leave last week, and am now back at work flat-chat, as my unbeloved boss likes to say.

Whatever you give is good enough. This is about participation, not flagellation(though if you're lucky you might get both).

i comment on an odd poem and try and give thanks to our participating newbs {great to see you having a go] but for me it's more about getting a poem out there. if if you do 2 or 3 in the month it's a plus for all of us. the closer readings can be done in the days after the hard labour. the thread is outdoing itself, probably our best year to date. way to go guys.

same here, except maybe for the newb (pewb!) part, since I consider myself a pewb with this thing, too. I'm not that behind on the writing (thing I flagellate myself for), but I am way behind on the reading -- I do hope to flood them with feedback after the month, though. but dang, so many benchmarks -- and done daily, too! what's that like, impregnating every woman you've an affair with for a month? wow -- juices so strong, so experienced! wow.

I'm enjoying this immensely. I've never done anything like attempting a poem a day, and it's a definite stretch. I'm determined to make the goal! Yay team! hahaha.
