I've never had a saw made of pine, but if I did, I would not expect it to cut much of anything.

Redonkulous but extremely entertaining. When I come to OK next year, we will have to drink a beer together and make fun of people. That sounds like good fun.

Oklahoma city. (or close to it) I've got a job out that way and we will be on 6/12s so I can run down to TX on a weekend. I've actually never been to the great state. There are a million places I want to go there.

A number of years ago I was in Thailand and I saw a Buddha carved from a single two foot tall piece of Jade, good jade too. I'm thinking I should have spent he 100 bucks they wanted!

Austin isn't in Texas, it's in Austin. (An old non-pine saw.)

Lots of bodark around here. My grandfather made tool handles and gate
bearings from bodark. We used to have bodark apple fights and our
tractor tire inner tubes usually ended up being more patch than tube
because of all the thorns.

i find plywood to be multi layered, though not as good in getting a patina after 200 years.

i always you use english oil or teak oil on un-lacquered woods.

The most unreal thing about the 60's was that they happened in the 70's.

P.S. To get tung oil you need to squeeze your nuts (I'm told).

No, that's not correct. You have to tongue your nuts, but I'm not that flexible.

OH no. Now I will have to post my poem about the 70's to explain how that's almost right. I've also got one for the fifties. I think I skipped the 80ties, but really who would notice. I have at leas t a Baker's dozen under the title Generational Sketches.
