This year, there are no form requirements, only "tiers" or "rankings" given informally to all participants:

Bronze Tier: Participate at least once.

Silver Tier: Participate all days.

Gold Tier: Participate all days, and have all entries be the same form or have all entries be different forms.

Write a poem involving a star, some stars, or the whole host of stars in the heavens. Fun fact: each of the three canticles of Dante's Commedia end with the word "stelle", or stars:

From Inferno:

salimmo su', el primo e io secondo,
tanto ch'i' vidi de le cose belle
che porta 'l ciel, per un pertugio tondo.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

we climbed up, he first and I behind him,
far enough to see, through a round opening,
a few of those fair things the heavens bear.
Then we came forth, to see again the stars.

From Purgatorio:

Io ritornai da la santissima onda
rifatto si' come piante novelle
rinovellate di novella fronda,
puro e disposto a salire a le stelle.

From those most holy waters
I came away remade, as are new plants
renewed with new-sprung leaves,
pure and prepared to rise up to the stars.

From Paradiso:

A l'alta fantasia qui manco' possa;
ma gia' volgeva il mio disio e 'l velle,
si' come rota ch'igualmente e' mossa,
l'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle.

Here my exalted vision lost its power.
But now my will and my desire, like wheels revolving
with an even motion, were turning with
the Love that moves the sun and all the other stars.

Translated by Robert and Jean Hollander.

good night sun
now the day is done
good night stars
Jupiter and Mars

good night sky
shining way up high
good night moon
I'll see you again soon

good night
sleep tight
good night
I'll see you again soon

April Rise

Wide rice-planting moon,
terraces crest quicksilver;
seedlings tease green stars.

is hair raising.
Dante is sublime.

Yes, grandma became a star.
Yes, daddy'll become a star.
Yes, mummy'll become one too.
And so will you
one day many many years away
I hope, when you are ninety five
with great grandchildren of your own.
Maybe you'll still think of me
like I always think of you.
Dawkins says it's just the selfish gene
from father to son and son and son
and that is how the race is run.
But maybe he's wrong,
Horatio, there’s more that lies unseen.
Perhaps the sky is just a big smokescreen
for what’s beyond.

And your poem is more than a little sublime, too.    Though the configuration may be an accident (the system does such things, concatenating posts entered one soon after the other) the Dante quote would make rather a nice title for the poem.

Easter Rabbit

each sun
parts the veil
of night
clinging
to mystery

like a moon orbiting a house

Cain's mark
is the sermon on the mount
spoken in a language of sleep

antichrist
son
of the trinity

Christ is the holy star

emperor of heaven

king of ghosts

The first all-woman flight to space was done
not by those often spun as winners of the race
simply by first debarking on the moon,
but by the actual winners, those who had achieved

all of the other firsts---the first man-made
satellite to orbit the earth, the first
vertebrate to orbit and die, to orbit
and live, the first man, the first group of men---

and all before the beast they once abolished,
Capital, slouched toward Moscow again
to be born in the form of Brezhnev-era bribes,

all before Krushchev's vow of twenty years
was falsified, all while the blood of Poles,
Kazakhs, Ukrainians, Adygheans, and the like
