Why an apple
and why the pleasures of sex
kept locked in a vault
in a fruit no less
hanging in a tree
where serpents like to frolic
and whisper behind the Old Man’s back?
It makes no sense,
not even as a fable.
Eve should have been a honey pot
to catch the Devil,
not the other way around.
What was God thinking?

My mum and my old church, of which she's still a part,
have sober takes on Palestine, acknowledging
how death is death, how we must pray
for righteousness, not triumph,
while my present priest, he sometimes rails against
"Rothschild" in his sermons---
"We were baptised here
and we will die here" read a headline
on a rocket striking the ancient church
of St. Porphyrios in Gaza
while an American friend of mine is singled out
for her big nose, her knowledge of High German---

< cats are social animals >
to the extent that
war is a social activity
it only takes one cat
to form a conspiracy
but if you see two cats
that normally fight each other
saber-tooth and claw
if you see them sitting side by side
watch out!
no good has come of this
somewhere
in the depths of your house
something is broken
with one cat
it's something valuable
with two cats
it's valuable
irreplaceable
and emotionally important
or maybe it's just shoes
in the morning
innocently sitting by your bed
waiting
waiting for your sleepy bare feet
with one cat
it's the right one
with two cats
it's both
only the conspirators know
which shoes contain
fresh, juicy hairballs

Conspiracy
Adam Smith asserted and supported
his belief that businesspeople will
conspire among themselves at each
occasion when they meet to raise
the prices of their stock in trade.
Legislators since “progressivism” started
seek to act against this tendency
with regulation, accusation,
denunciation and expropriation–
assuming, wrongly, that it’s a bad thing.
Quote:“People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.”

He saw every way imaginable.
There was no trigger,
only one possibility after another.
He wanted it,
but he didn't want to want it.
He could use the investigators
own neck tie, smash
his head in the mirror repeatedly.
He wanted to,
but he didn't want to want to.
He never once claimed innocent.
saved his dad's life
getting to a hospital in time.
He wanted it
but he didn't want to want it.
He was arrested immediately
After what he did
To that other family years later.
He wanted to
But he didn't want to want to.

False Flag
when storied intelligence
and military might
oversleep on the same morning,
it's fair to wonder
if they ever got a wink.
