Have you ever had a crush on someone which was purely intellectual, and not in any way physical? A physical attraction inspired only by a mental connection, or admiration for their mind etc.?

i'm a little confused. (a normal state of being for me )
i can't say as i have. i might like someone because their intellect is part of their make up but i've
never been attracted to someone purely on the basis of their intellect. and intellgent women turn me on
but for me to be have a crush there has to be more.

I'm not sure I expressed what I meant very well. Basically, have you ever developed a romantic attraction to someone which wasn't based on their sexual appeal (big tits, nice arse etc.) in any way whatsoever?

i think sex appeal and romantic attraction are mingled with each other, you can't take the 2 apart

i see what your saying, can you love someone for their mind? i think so.
while i class addy's mum as a good looker. i wouldn't be with her if she was only that.
i did fall in love with her mind before i fell in love with her body; but i have to say i also wanted the body lol.
i suppose in the love game, any thing's possible.

you mean you fell in love with her mind because you wanted the body?

and i fell in love with her very quickly.

Not really brain sex, but...
When I was seven, I thought I had a crush on this boy who was one of the smartest in class (he even skipped a grade). But then he started hanging out with the jocks in class and it disillusioned me so completely that I hated him after LOL .
I know it's not the same thing since there's obviously no sexual component, but I get where you're coming from. A person who is not really good-looking can start becoming physically attractive just because of his/her mind (or your perception of his/her mind). That's why artists and such are able to bag lots of babes that, in terms of looks, seem out of their league
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Roger Ebert, the Chicago film critic. Or Woody Allen.

Again, I totally agree with that statement.
I've not given anything to this thread, but SJ's and addy's statements really tie in quite well with how I view the topic. Thanks guys (for speaking for me)

True. Alcohol and true love don't normally go very well together.

two heavy drinkers would fall in love in a heart beat. good drinking partners are hard to come by.
