motivation for NaPM

where does yours come from. i just missed 3 days as if it was nothing. now i'm screwed by having to play catch up all over again. before this i don't think i wrote more than five poems in a year. i'm struggling solidly find the will to continue.

I find life and death motivating. I'd suggest a poem salivating over Bibi Andersson for springtime motivation. But I'm probably going to have to write it myself. Since I've spent long nights already, doing the research. I only write personal poetry and do personal research.
Because there are Furies. And poems are magic spells to distract always present watchfiends in the physical head.
That is, get a witch or somebody born between the years 1982 and 1997, which is the same thing, to put a curse on you that demands you write every day, with some result, or face mental or jailtime in northern Virginia or Massachusetts.
Ansiktet. She especially looks good in that one. You don't want to read what they're saying in English. Just to look.
That's how I write a poem.

i find the stuff i do for NaPM is more fluffy shite than anything serious or well written. byt if i'm honest i prefer writing fluffy shite... It's easier.

I don't want to jinx it, but I've been lucky enough to be in a great groove lately. For example, yesterday I wrote three poems, which isn't typically for me. Some weeks I manage to write almost a poem a day, while most weeks I'm lucky to get one or two down on a page, but I always try do something related to poetry everyday (write, read, edit, revise, etc.).

As for motivation, I just thoroughly enjoy the challenge of 30 poems in 30 days. I wish I had something more profound to say here lol

I don't have the motivation. The last thing I want to do is put rushed writing up here. There are other avenues for such exercises. I too find the poetry for NaPM fluffy, but perhaps worse than that, I don't enjoy reading it. When I know that a poem received very little time to mature, it's hard to believe that reading it is worth much time either (not to be critical of anyone's work, just the way I view it).

what you say is fine, i just think that fluff and funny somehow go hand in hand. i think the NaPM is more for fun than fine-honing any poetic talents we think we have. it's all about getting something out there.
