Newspaper, i looked it up because i suck at riddles.

Here's the problem:
While it works verbally because 'red' and 'read' sound the same,
when it is put down in black and white it reads 'read' which is
not the same as 'red'.

And since we exist here in fantasy letter-land, I'm not sure
it qualifies. But, as always, this is just my current opinion
and I'm willing to be swayed figurty and/or letterily.

Old time cop cars. It's black and white and when the light on top comes on, it is red all over. You may bow at my greatness!

Of course there is always the sun burned zebra.

The original was a newspaper, as that is what I gave for an answer when I wrote the riddle.

While I'm appropriately appalled and enthused by your creative answer,
I can't help but be concerned that the genesis of your reply was a personal familiarity
with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. If so, you have my sympathies; but if you are
unaware of this condition and assume that every menstrual female surfs the big
red wave, I have only to implore you to encourage your significant (or otherwise)
other to seek appropriate medical assistance.
