NaPM 2014 is over

Well, it looks like another April has come and gone. Kudos go out to all that managed to participate at the pigpen. Apologies for not being able to participate more fully myself as something came up.

I hope everyone has had a chance to read through the threads, enjoy some of the poems and leave some comments.

Thank you, milo. It's been a great combo of fun and torture, my usual poetry state. There have been a lot of fine, interesting poems posted, I keep reading and rereading. We appreciate you sticking with it.

Yes, I got a great deal out of it. I tried some forms and themes that I don’t normally work with. I learned some self-discipline. I set a personal record of writing 30 poems in 30 days. I am satisfied with enough of them to workshop some of them and rework some others. So thanks for the challenge and encouragement.

Thanks Milo for running the show. I had fun, I never know what to write about so having to write on a given topic appeals to me. There were some excellent poems posted, congrats to all who took part

My thanks to Milo for running this again this year and to everyone who posted (i tried to read all of them each day), some amazing poems were produced in such a shortspace of time. I think I echo what has already been said, in that some days I felt less inspired than others...but then that is the fun of the challenge.

Thanks milo and congrats to everyone who managed to finish it! I've had the craziest past few weeks and have been totally absent, but am hoping to go back once things are a bit calmer and get some poems written! I really enjoyed the first half of the month and as well as many of the poems posted.

it would probably be helpful if we send each other suggestions of which ones we think are real standouts.

We've given this so much time, a little more won't hurt.

A couple of those poems where knocked out, but some where like putting my brain through a meat grinder, and some belong in the garbage disposal. Mixed bag, yanno.

No shyt about that internet thing. I was a long time mod on a cultural/political section of one of the busier sites of its kind on the net. I had a reputation that if you didn't bring it against me in a debate, you we're going to get sliced and diced into itsy-bitsy pieces that only a sugar ant could mistake for a meal. Nothing personal, of course. But I'm going to kill you.

But even after all those wasted years on the site, it was amazing how easily forgotten you could become when you backed away. After about six months, only handful would remember who and what you were there.
