Hello poetry lovers! It is almost April again and that means it is almost NaPM! Here at the Pigpen we like to celebrate by engaging in our favourite activity - poetry. For an idea of what this means go here
The first thing we are going to need is some courageous suck . . . errrr .. . volunteers. What are you volunteering for? Well, first I would like to develop a list of participants who are willing to at least attempt to write a poem a day everyday through April (30 days). To sign up, just respond to this thread with something like "I'm in".
Second, I would like to do prompts a little differently this year by providing an opportunity for members to suggest prompts. To sign up for prompts, just reply to this thread with something like "I'm in and I will provide a prompt."
Finally, there is the question of whether to have me give participating members a date and let them post the prompt thread or have them pm me the prompt and I post the thread. My love for strippers has translated into a love for polls and this seems an opportune time to include a poll so, after volunteering to participate and volunteering to provide a prompt please vote in the poll.

Yay I'm in the midst of a mild writer's block and have been eagerly awaiting April. =]
So yes I'm in and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to think of a prompt or two. Milo it looks like you want other people to post them but all of us want you to do the heavy lifting (as usual), so just curious if you'll be saying who came up with the prompt? (For my 2 cents, I don't think it matters at all who volunteered the idea, it's more just us wanting to help you out.)

I was actually torn. I think it might be best if I post them but considered that some might want the opportunity. I will credit all prompts received.

The spirit of NaPM is to make a commitment to write a poem a day for every day in April, that is what makes the stress!
Of course, you can always just pick and choose but it would be great if people tried it before throwing in the towel (before it even started I might add!)

Whatever. I'll make up poems and prompts and stuff, but can someone cover for me on the fifteenth? I'll probably be too busy wearing all black and hiding in the closet with a bottle of brandy.
Thank you milo.

honestly that sounds like just another day.
and a perfect day for poetry, provided you have a flashlight. Last week there was a day we all skipped but it's best not to talk about this. you will be added to the list.

All new members don't forget to sign up for this. It is the best way to pack years of experience into one month and to quickly establish yourself as a regular.

My chances of actually being able to participate are looking thinner and thinner.I really hope that I can, but realistically speaking I have no idea how I'm going to pull it off. Just know that if I don't make it, wherever I am, I'd rather be here.

Everybody please remember - NaPM 14 starts tomorrow. If you have food - eat it, if you have weed - smoke it, if you have gods - pray to them and if you have prompt ideas please send them in to me as I could still use a few.
