During my high school years, my friends and I often engaged in group poetry/ art. Smoking pot was a part of our normal routine (still is, for me), and we wrote so often that we created a book called "This" with a picture of a pot leaf my friend drew on the front (as in, "Hey man, check 'This' out" Our second notebook was titled 'It'). While much of it lacked fous, theme, etc. it was still an extremely fun past time. In fact, the very first entry was a poem I wrote titled "A Trip Through the Time Tunnel of a School Night" and I specifically recall that it took quite longer to construct a proper sentence than when sober. As a musician AND poet, I've noticed that smoking pot is much more conducive to enjoying music than writing poetry, but consuming ANY kind of media while high added increased enjoymet, and the CREATION of any type is only sometimes adversely affected by being high.
