Briefly in Tune
It’s lovely commonplace that butterflies
ignite our sense of sight in just the way
bright flowers do, or rainbows in a spray
of sun-mixed mist strike magic in our eyes.
They goad our math-mad minds to analyze
how color-frequencies delight and play
like plangent harmonies or words we say
in deep accord before the feeling dies.
