Community and honesty are not mutually exclusive. That's why we have discussion forums -- so that our interactions are not restricted to critique. However, I don't join sites like this because I need friends. I respect manners because that's how I was brought up, but I respect a good eye for detail and a genuine concern for improvement a great deal more.
