I got upset and sad from a bad night and haven't slept all night, so I wrote a poem. Here it is and be as critical as you need to be.
When I was young I dreamt of the day you would come into my life,
Burning hair of auburn or gold to rid me of all my strife.
Like Venus shining so sweetly in the blazing sun,
Stopping the suffering of this lonely conundrum.
Dazzling display of a commanding smile,
Which no sane man could ever defile.
You would be my everything.
Beneath your beauty was there eclipsed,
A sentimental nature embracing my lips.
Over your body the heavens rejoice,
As my tortured spirits gain a resounding voice.
Through your existence my life ceases to persist,
For a new era comes as God Himself insists.
My life would mean something.
Still I await your delicate caress,
Our love itself finds no success.
My soul aches with loneliness and my mind fills with emptiness,
I am still searching for eternal happiness.
Oh please come now my sweet, sweet love,
I find no help from God above.
It’s just me forever alone lacking my one true love.
My shattered hopes have come to nothing.
Why won’t you come and accompany my exile,
Don’t you know it is all worthwhile?
I will fill your heart with all its needs,
I will enkindle our zeal until it no longer breathes.
Is it my body,
Although its form Michelangelo would earnestly embody?
Is it my eyes,
Still they express no tender sighs?
Do you want compassion,
But I can fill you with all satisfaction?
I find in you all I need,
Somewhere out there you cry for me indeed.
Who are you my love who illuminates my soul,
Even though I still pay a heavy toll?
Even without you so far in my being,
I sense the love we share and it must never be fleeing.
As all is lost without its radiance,
All is trampled without its preeminence.
When I was young I dreamt of the day you would come into my life,
Burning hair of auburn or gold to rid me of all my strife.
Like Venus shining so sweetly in the blazing sun,
