Waiting til the last minute
Just really not feeling it
Tell myself I won't forget
Then i take another hit
Staring off like a dimwit
Then someone comes to visit
Waste more time shootin the shit
But still get it done at the last minute
Peanut butter honey banana sandwiches

No Yes or No

Bad habit for a thinking being:
to be bound by binary.
Each chance a choice, to simplify
to this or that, or to discern
a middle, higher, lower ground
beyond these two’s duality.

Then don’t admit when given only
two bad options that they’re all.
When you hear “Money talks
or money walks,” reply “Why
don’t you just stand right there,
Money, and shut up?”

La sprezzatura nuova

At most take three showers a week
and only others should ever wash
your hair. Never fully tuck your shirt
and never be early for anything,

even if you'll be the center of attention.
Starve after breakfast, vomit after dinner,
and when you write verse, only let it rhyme
if your prosody is otherwise less than perfect.
