On the ninth day of Christmas, the Pig Pen gave to me
nine fallen cities,
eight snuffed-out candles,
seven strange names,
six ancient kings,
five struggling moms,
four vanished kids,
three religious pamphlets,
two cash gifts, and
a carol on a broadsheet.
Post something about the fall of an insitution, an empire, a kingdom, a city, etc.

Hey Lisa would you like to
get some lunch with me real quick?
I know what I'm gonna do,
there's another job lined up,
but I've gotten to know you.
There's a few people I've clicked
with who I'll miss. But it's two

Has Founding Finished?
Cities are founded, cities fall.
Official foundings follow
after people find that living close
together they must learn to live
in some form of peace together
and one or another takes the credit
for such graces as evolved.
Cities fall when founders
are forgotten or remembered for
wrong reasons. Fallen cities
may continue to exist
and be spoken of as if
they lived, but heart
went out of them with peace.
Does the first city to be founded
still exist? Uruk or Enoch,
Mohenjo-Daro or Xi’an
all fallen. Dare we ask
has the last city to fall
been founded yet?
