Dark Matters
I am like a drop
in an undulating ocean
still invisible
even if I collapse
like a wave on the shore.

Together, all the droplets in the ocean are dark but individually they are invisible.
A droplet yearns to be dark in its own way, and stand out.

This poem really doesn't have anything to do with water, per se. It's more of a silly riddle poem, with a hint in the title, and the poem asking: "what am I?". There is a more personal, double meaning, as well. That said, interpretations are always up to the reader.
Still, thanks for the comment, even if I couldn't make sense of it.
