Postmortem Conversation with Jeffrey Epstein
You are the first person I’ve seen
walk these gray streets in, how long?
Time runs at odd angles
here. I remain as always
a vault of secrets.
I guess that’s why you came.
These words swim under the water--
the fin emerges, a barely exposed
threat. I am surprised
that you would ask of me.
You prepare an excellent death
as a chef would a meal. The ingredients
present themselves. Anyone can twist
a prison sheet, but there must
be proper posture, breath control,
and the body
should be suspended at a precise
fifty-four-degree temperature.
The video cameras failed.
Well, the darkest acts
always defy observation.
I have no explanation
for what happened
after I died, or even when I died,
but I am positive that I killed myself.
Suicide has always been
an exercise in autonomy.

You had your followers,
institute wall climbers
who told the guards your secrets
for a pocket full of un-swallowed calm,
yet still they came for you at night.
Non believers with hot Bourbon breath
would spit on your claims
hold cameras in your face
looking for a trace of divinity,
slowly rewinding each frame.
No one was ready
the day your father came,
his visit would unlock
every door, scuff the polished floor
with streaks of dug in heals
dragged mindless into a pyre
that you climbed before the thunder bolt
and acrid smoke.
They called off the search 3 days in,
divers in the murk looking for a sign
beneath waters where no one could survive.
They didn't know you had walked.
If your undies fer you've been smoking through em, don't peg em out

One day not so long ago
in cosmic terms a genius team
contrived to break one basic rule
of physical geometry–
the one that states two objects cannot
occupy a common volume.
But they managed- made a sphere
of most unlikely elements
implode into a smaller one
(with shaped explosives nicely timed)
to which insulted Nature answered
with a small and short-lived star.
