Hers, Yeah
Tough young guy
muscle-shirted
hair slicked over
walks two yappy
white-shag cockapoos
on a double leather lead.
Dogs are smiling, frisky;
he won’t meet my eye.

Surprised he's not wearing a ball cap and dark shades. I wondered if the lead should be sequined pink, but "double leather lead" sounds so good I wouldn't want to tinker with it. I didn't think those little yappy dogs ever smiled.

Cockapoo- a popular cross between a cocker spaniel and poodle, sweet tempered thick hair, 30-40 pounds. I love the abominations, not the people who make them

Not so little, as the dwarf smirked (see @CRNDLSM) - and they do smile. In fact, I think that snowman smile is a cockapoo's only (and ingratiating) expression.
That leash... slick, supple, and glistening black. Darned near as seductive on sight as the words. Pink and sequins would have ruined the effect - would have said, "What's it to ya, bub?" instead of raising the question of whose leash was being tugged.

My bad. I had envisioned the wrong breed and it skewed my read, Still a fan of this one, though it's a different poem for me than it was yesterday. Funny how that happens.
