It's always one of these
perennial Tuesday afternoons
when the sky boasts
an unpaintable blue
and the clouds catwalk by
in their god-faced caricatures of you
that makes a bird of me.

If hearts had wings... very enjoyable. I hung up briefly on "cat" in relation to "bird." Not a critique thread, but -- "cakewalk by" ?

Might be an idea to start at “Tuesday”, though the last line will also have to change to reflect the new sentence structure
