The dolphin journeys to and fro through the sea
with a smart brain like you (or maybe just me)
His schools are all fishy amidst whales that spurt
But fools dolphins ain’t; just go ask any expert
Dromedaries are camels
Bats are all Blind
Dolphins are Mammals
We’re of the same kind!
“Well, we’ve reached the moon”, so you could mutter
“Who made the harpoon?”, the dolphins do shutter
No, they can’t surely; they’re near mute for real
(And any big ape can refute a squeal)
People have speech
People have hair
Dolphins have a long reach …
… just to breathe air
So, you grin and you gloat that dolphins are dumb
But think if Flipper’s fin had evolved as a thumb!
