Movements

If you had to define your work as belonging to a certain poetic movement (modernism, imagism, Romanticism etc.), which one would it be?

For years I've seen myself as a confessional poet - I've written hundreds of free verse poems about intimate subjects, like mental illness and masturbation - but lately I've been leaning towards a thematically simpler yet more technically refined imagism.

i think mine would be crappism lmao.

i don't know really. i often write nostalgic stuff, seldom do romance or sex.
i also write about nature at times. as well as comedic or funny stuff.
after that i don't think i actually have a style unless ecclectism can be classed as a style.

I guess I'd be a confessional poet, though there are plenty of things I write that aren't confessional and I'm at a loss as to where I would categorize them. I have friends that are modernists or into deep image. I don't think I'm either of those though that could just be because I'm thinking of people that strongly represent those movements.

So, I'm going to go with Confessional mostly Wink
