Poetry Tip: Don't Communicate
#21
I had a few mantras when I wrote poetry.  I don't know if this one directly applies to the subject of the thread or not, but anyway...never explain, always express.
You can't hate me more than I hate myself.  I win.

"When the spirit of justice eloped on the wings
Of a quivering vibrato's bittersweet sting."

Sounds like exactly the subject of the thread, and good advice.

I think that's a good way to say it, much better than don't communicate. Poetry is not explanatory writing and it is true that if one has been writing for a while it's easy to forget that someone new to poetry would not be aware of that, self evident as it seems.

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
