If the socks are so holy, wouldn't the angels be able to fly right through? Makes no sense to fly around. Best to fly as the crow....

Angels don't fly around or through, they hover.
(Or that's been my experience... though maybe angel behavior varies with location?) Sock holes? Haven't a clue. I usually loose one of them before either gets holy.
