Deformed by Acid
#1
Eyesome Hal leaned his head back,
letting the semi-solid shot
trail down his throat.
He jumped, swayed, twirled,
in an endless confluence of motion;
simultaneously, Hal felt the variegated jello in his gut.
It conformed and subsequently parted with his innermost linings,
and in only seconds, like a one-size-too-small cork,
it departed from the flimsy crimson walls of his stomach.
He felt the alcohol, swirling within his funnel-shaped body,
into a biological drain, partaking in his most basic continuance.

Suddenly, with pastry-glazed eyes, he became keenly aware of his liver:

ballooning or heating or shrinking,
he hadn’t an inkling of the tactile state of his entrails.
He had lost track of the jello, momentarily,
as he was distracted by a tidal sensation of contrition.

Hal leaned his head forward and expelled the nights mercurial energy,
it flowed out of him
like a ROYBGIV ribbon out of a clown’s mouth;
never at an incipient end, it continued beyond the recently located jello.

His blood like mercury fell below 90 degrees,
to 70, 60, 50, 40,
cascading into the bottom most bulb of his internal thermometer,
until the the brick red and marigold yellow and skye blue left his complexion,
leaving a black-white-grey Hal,
penitently expelling the remnants of his most deeply seated electricity.

You had me at "endless confluence of motion".

Try as I might, I can't secure a mite of fault.

Beautiful.

Were it the Great War, we'd bond our breasts and top the trench together.
