Backfire
I'd like to kill the stupid tool who played
the April fool who dropped a baby grand.
Three floors it fell; to fuckin' Hell i went
not heaven sent as i had hoped would be
the case I'd packed was laced with sin
from previous pranks, ranks on rank
The stinking horse manure and bucket
stank the house out for a week.
to seek the chicken carcas hid behind the stove
took four or more and now that damn piano
that fell upon my stupid head
Look at me, a proper april fool.

It's probably silly to try to catch up at this point. Here goes though:
Redshirts
There is no life
insurance for those in red.
draped in the color of blood.
Walking lodestones,
we draw shrapnel from the blue
sky. Though the heat may burn orange,
it blossoms within our chests.
We are dowsing rods to child gods,
and rogue androids.
We are only last names.

Go for it. Mopkins did a great job playing catch up. I know I'm behind, we can meet half way.

I own a talking bull,
April fools!
There are Leprechauns in my pool,
April fools!
I here this summer is going to be cool,
April fools!
I just inherited some priceless jewels,
April fools!
This is a poem for April fools,
April fools!
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?
The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
A Fools Life
Yes, there are times when I want to get out of the water
push down the oars and tether my boat
to gather my thoughts while the current softens
and stand calm and still with my feet on the ground
But none of us were given rope
and that current wills to never soften
I've seen men jump overboard
but only fools think the river bed solves problems
so on this icy, turbulent journey
no matter how desperate my desire
I refuse to follow
