Rossi explains the E-cat edit0.001 for Chris. I made a fundamental error

Gravitrons, fermions,
solitons and tachyons
gathered in a Tokamak
one blue-bright day.
No bosons were detectable
and leptons, though delectable,
were flavoured by the quarks
that all went the other way.

Anti-matter tied with string
theorised on solitons;
but note that a mesononic ring
had voted for a baryon.
( Fourier complained, but
analysing’s not his thing)
Symmetry went hiss then PHUT,
releasing super-glueons.

So all the world is searching for
a unifying binding force,
but now neutrinos CAN reverse
it looks like anti-quarks might score!
In time we may be tired of verse…
but that time is sidereal.

SPACE...the final frontier?

You knew that? Of course.

Tom, You know that in all of this particle generation, I failed to detect a tachyon. I am still not certain which Rossi you are referencing, because the title implies the fraud Andrea and his cold fusion contraption, while the body of the poem suggests the genius Bruno and his particle zoo, but without his cosmic rays to stir things up. Fourier could probably analyze it, but he was invited to the experiment a hundred years too late. Tongue Perhaps, it is all just poetic fun and it was. Thanks!/Chris Smile

Tachyons? You must be joking....they are figmentatious!
Yes, is it the fraudster Rossi...scientific dilettante of the age...the man is so damned convoluted he is entertaining! The Journal of Nuclear Physics...deep joy!
Fun it is.

Tom, I just found this patent office quote on Andrea Rossi's energy catalyzer: It received an unfavorable international preliminary report on patentability because it was adjudged to "offend against the generally accepted laws of physics and established theories." Big Grin

You don't know the half of it! I was asked to comment on the Defkalion system by a Science editor for local rag...I told them that my reputation would not bear the weight of whatever words I used. The response was that they were hoping my views were not so Luddite as to prevent me giving a balanced viewpoint. I had to explain that being unbalanced would not be a problem but I would need to be unhinged to comment seriously. When was this? 2010!
Since then....nothing. But the scam goes on.

How much government money was spent to find that the universe is after all...flat? With the occasional indentation caused by a larger than average quantity of mass, creating small divots in an otherwise smooth concrete super highway. Space is the ocean in which the flotsam of matter just happens to float, yet with all the billions spent we haven't a clue what space is. Scientist are simply little boys still learning how to build a wooden sail boat that will float in the water, without ever getting wet because their mumsie doesn't want them to get their new clothes dirty.

quarks are quirky,
baryons are royal,
fermions are drunk
and string theory is spoiled.
(...and I wish someone would take the trash out as it is starting to stink in here)

BTW Clever poem Tom.

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Hi Dale,
I think I warned you that this one was in the ovipositor. I have played with it and the deletion key for a year now. Rossi pisses me right off...but not as much as his disciples. This may not be the end...or even the beginning of a new beginning. Same thing, really.
Best,
