I don't say anything online that I wouldn't say to someone's face... the big difference is, I "talk" to people online I probably wouldn't bother with in real life, because occasionally they intrude on my personal cyberspace and I'd hate to be rude :p
I'm generally fairly well behaved and law abiding so I'm not too concerned about embarrassing myself online -- at least, not in a potentially litigious way, otherwise I don't embarrass all that easily. I avoided Facebook for a couple of years after growing very tired of being updated on the inane activities of people whose lives I was terminally uninterested in, and now I've reactivated I'm less concerned about offending people by defriending/ignoring those I really couldn't care less about.
Yes, I'm unpleasant and antisocial. It makes me happy.
