I am humbled,
by this human hair
rats and snarls,
all atangle -
brush that rakes and pulls my skull,
comb whose teeth seem mighty dull -
a little pomade to make it slick,
a little water to tame the lick -
when I'm done it must be said -
perhaps I better go back to bed.
