It's funny... imagism does nothing for me, but symbolism makes me crazy happy
Give me Baudelaire or Rimbaud any day. I couldn't even tell you why, since the two styles are so closely related (especially where Pound is concerned)... it might be that symbolism just has that little extra step into esotericism but always with a key, so it's never completely obscure. Imagism tends a little further toward the personal, and seems to be a little more closed to me.
