I must admit I don't know much about the party scene abroad, but according to the mayor of the town I mentioned in my opening post the statue is old and much revered by the locals, and I just consider it disrespectful when British yobs treat a piece of foreign culture as a toilet. If Spanish partiers came over here and took a dump on a World War I memorial there'd be national outrage.
Furthermore, while the bar owners might be satisfied with stag parties wrecking the place and pissing and shitting everywhere (though, even if the tables are cheap and crappy and they do earn fat payments, clearing up the detritus of drunken pigs can't be appealing, and will certainly affect their opinions regarding Britons), what about the residents who live near or even amongst these places, and have to contend with abuse from idiots when they go out at night? Again I don't know much about the party scene abroad but I'm assuming the places where the stag parties do their thing aren't completely segregated from the homes and businesses of people not concerned with British tourism.
