ibiza, the tourist trade there was set up mainly for the clubbers (big spenders specially when drunk) so they have happy hours to get them half drunk. very few monuments that are old get desecrated. most are built on and by the currencies of tourist just so the place looks like it has age. ibiza has the family life on one side and the clubbers on the other.
majorca is the same, the parts that have cultural significance seldom get visited by yobs and stag parties etc. except on coach tours when they're sober.they'll always be exceptions to the rule but that can be said of any cultural site in the world.
as for having their places ripped apart (the furniture is usually plastic or aluminium and cheap. ) most don't get broken. the tables are usually cheap shit that cost a couple of quid.
