i didn't look at the figures but i guess upgrading the nuclear arsenal will be pretty expensive and for what?let's do something new and make a base on the moon.
getting away from the military establishment?impossible.they'll gobble up all the money before it can be used for anything else
making contact with aliens?would be totally interesting,but who knows when and by whom?
