if the do have such an email as the hacker describes, that alone is connection enough. the fact he said he never knew manning in the media is something he can't go back on.

realistically i can't see him committing rape per say. (not what we (men) would class as rape) but he has been charged, and he should face those charges. are the swedish courts trying to make a name for themselves, probably but if what the women says is true then he should under swedish law be charged whatever browny points the courts are are trying to win. if found guilty he should get a small fine and a short suspended sentence. (in my opinion) he would i think have a good chance of being found not guilty.
is the usa involved in the swedish court case....i doubt it, for one i think it would be harder to extradite him from sweden than it would be from the uk. to my mind the uk want him in the usa as much as the american gov does. though when an extradition order is made for assange the chance sweden will give him up are great. and if they don't that wouldn't be a problem. sweden will not let him stay in the country, he disowend his own country so he'd prob return to the uk. in which case the yanks would be giggling as they fap.
did assange know manning, did he have talks or share emails with him, i think he did. but that doesn't matter. if they have emails that show he did then the odds are he did. did assange set up an encrypted server specially for manny? i say he did but then again what i think doesn't matter. if an email corroborates the fact he did then the odds are it's likely he did, which in itself would point to the fact he new and talked with manning.

does assange weaken any forthcoming case the usa may bring by talking to the press as he does. most definitely, what he's doing by talking as he does is put on record statements that if untrue can be proven to be so at a later date. the i never manning being the most corrosive remark he could have made for himself. his lawyer needs to tell assange to stfu and quickly. thing is assange is a narcissist and thinks he knows best.
should assange serve a long time in prison? personally i detest the man but objectively i don't think he should, manning on the other hand signed a contract and as such should possibly be responsible for his own stupid actions. i doubt he leaked the stuff because he had high morals, the truth is it was probably the opposite.
i won't lose any sleep should assange get life or even the death sentence which he wont. he's of no imprortance to me and as such i couldn't give a toss what happens.
is assange a truthful (in the braod sense of the word) man? i class myself as pretty good at knowing people and i'd say he's one of the most untruthful and mistrustful men i've seen on the media. again that's just my point of view but i'm pretty good at pegging people if i say so myself.
