My first love was with a Joe in grade 5 (some 40 years ago)
We both had an instant connection ... he had smiling bright blue eyes.
We would toss love notes back and forth in class until the day we got caught and were sent to the princpals office.
To further deter us the notes were read aloud in class by the teacher ... a most humiliating experience
... never did it again though.
