A "Testimony For Earth": A Worldview to Save the Planet and Ourselves by Bob Harrington is the one that did it for me.
It is a set of guides for everyone who wants to make changes to restore and protect this planet and ourselves.
The book itself was inspired by "A Manifesto for Earth" which is on my to read list.
So many things that Bob Harrington speaks of spoke loudly to me in my time of my own changing thoughts.

@billy ... The Glass Bead Game" sounds very interesting.

well worth a read kath. when it was written, it was the book people had on the shelf to look intellectual but few actually read it.
