I pulled down my
cowl neck sweater
to expose my
beating pulse spot
to the hot sun
coming through
the huge window.
I closed my eyes
tight,
and breathed in
slow,
waiting.
Instead of
sucking my blood…
I wanted IT
to give me
warmth, comfort,
and love.
IT did!
I hadn’t seen the sun
in so long,
I was delightfully
surprised!
