a lot of it is rhetoric i'd say.
as for the media industry calling in favours, i can't really see that happening. (not saying lobbying doesn't happen)
i think in general most politicians are bamboozled
by the industry when it comes to piracy. all they hear is
"piracy is costing us and the country billions."
