You have a gift for imagery, Ms. Alabaster. I agree with much of what Billy and Addy have said (wonderful theme with a wonderful opening line - I wish I'd thought of it!); you need only focus your pen a little more like Addy said, but all in all this is a very good poem with a theme that should be explored more often.
