Hello John - I am new today to this forum and I came across this poem. I instantly enjoyed it, I really like the simple rhyming patten and was intrigued with the underlying sadness in its story, wondering if they left or perhaps died. I think this is great that each reader can interpret different things. I am afraid I cannot offer much technical feedback, as I am still learning myself. Perhaps some phrases could be seen as Cliché but it somehow fits with this poem, its short and conveys enough emotion to connect with the subject of the poem.  I loved the simple ending and evokes such empathy for the person who misses her!
