The Venusian Arts

I always play out of tune.

Nemesis is my Figure for what I call Situational Appropriations and Transfigurations. She is an example of that, and enforces that.

One of the most powerful things about early Genesis and myths is that they make their own sense. The Jungian and Classical stuff codifies, which is necessary as much as getting out of that is.

I'm a fan of both/and. I see that in the Temple of Set, they have the Objective and Subjective Universes, the first is the shared one, the second is the one each person lives based on their own alterations, innovations and personal codes. I like that sense of eating my cake while I have it: earth gives me ingredients or people make a cake for me, and I eat it as I play with it, food of the gods.

If you can balance the Objective Universe, your Subjective and everyone else's Subjective, you can also balance self and no-self, you can also have nonsense which requires sense to have any distinction; and you can have Affect, whether you have any codes or not, but cultural aspects spice things up as well as anything, so why not?

As Baphomet is a nice Shadow-Figure who only looks evil if you are in a culture where such a figure looks evil, or there are any evil or taboos or inherited reactions to serpents and horns and darkness; also there is, for poetry, the saving grace of being able to make the 't' at the end silent or not. The 't' is also the last letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Beth, which is also the first letter. And there you have the ouroboros. That's where Abraxas comes in for me, Abraxas has to do with time, for me. All times and places are here and now; that was a trick to get past my obsessions with projecting possibilities into the future or regretting the past, if everything is here and now, then I'm only, if at all, Responsible for my present Joy, which will be in the future if I stick to it. And since Joy alone is boring, your Cosmic Nihilism, that's fine, because Venus, or Inanna as I prefer, is Love and War, aka: Romance.

I would critique your "malevolent", but, as Venus is a benefic or whatever they call it, using the "opposite" works.
