She knows her solo well-
the rise, and fall
of each passage.

A lighter touch here,
more forceful there,
her contralto, legato.

Steadily she builds
her crescendo, holding
on sustained vibrato.

Then, the sweet, deep
release- to the sound
of one hand clapping.
