White Knuckles
There are those pieces
that make the cut every time
when I'm purging
and getting my closet aligned,
not because I like them
or plan to wear them again,
but a favorite they once were.
Like my favorite stuffy,
though old and musty,
they made me feel calm,
confident and great,
and for that simple gift,
I thank them
with real estate.
