The Choosing
Before time had its start
before light was commanded
into being, long before
the firmament arose
they were...
not with existence yet,
their very atoms still committed
to more shining purposes,
their souls yet undivided
from the One, they were...
Elected. Deep in future ages
when their parents came together
and their ghosts engendered
they would rise
though wailing at the start
only for air and milk
soon their especiality
would reify and deify.
Elect! Unable to do wrong,
predestined and eternally
justified.
