chased by Planet X
Oswald fired his fatal shot
missed DeSade but hit Camelot
a sad day for all our sex.

It’s not morning until the crack
inside the rain, beside the pain
the aching revolution’s gain.
Mighty Mouse inflates his chest
and bullets bounce back.

Joker’s coming back again
no one’s laughing now
scraping and bowing and insane
we count our blessings
on his naked ribs of shame.
6.
It’s not the same to be to blame
It’s not insane to weep for Poe
wandering lost and poisoned
through an October prison
where cocks crow in derision.
