Trickster knows his trade
always knows the way to the fair
where tattooed womenÂ
lead us into temptation
among a carnival of fools.
He saves us for himself
leads us dancing into the hall of mirrors
or, like Circe, turns us into swine.
When the dance is done
Trickster is nowhere to be found
and we hide our nakedness
once again.
