with too many loose wires. here I think could do better than 'with', but again great line. curious as to what you had in mind?

Sorry just noticed your comments.
I was thinking something more descriptive, such as 'tangled by', 'shorted from/by', something like that to describe more what the "mind" was experiencing.
Those that can't do pontificate!
