I decide on “Low Rider” by War
and cue the music
while she showers.
(this is where you search the song
if so inclined to play along)
She exits the bathroom
with one towel on her head
another round her torso
and eyes too serious to bare.

I press play
and for 3 minutes
we dance like gods might fuck.

There’s a towel on the floor,
an appointment that mustn’t be missed
and a decision to be made.

We make it together.
