Gods of iron came from the sea,
they did not know the songs of welcome,
we offered them maize bread and beer
for hunger was in their half hid eyes.
They spit it out and shook their spears,
demanded food for gods. The village priest
went to the temple and brought forth
our gods, made from the blood of the sun,
the invaders' eyes grew fiery with angry lust
and they demanded more, flogged the priest,
and set their four legged beasts upon our men.
But our god heard our pleas and out
of his secret cave came Caltiki,
and devoured the intruders one by one.
