yeah, thats pretty much why sometimes i say "the poem is perfect", which can easily lend to what you say. Yet a poem can always be more and more perfect, as perfection does not exist

BUT, i also always believe that opposites can mean the same thing, so if i love a poem, it can be interpereted as "this is trash". Really the authority is in our heads, nothing wrong with that. I love it, to talk about such directionless questions as "what is the proper insult/praise"
Like the difference between 'this is the shit' and 'this is shit'
